What you can expect from us in the planning and delivering of your wedding.
Here at GGO we offer a planning and catering service for weddings and events. We can provide either, or both services to help you achieve your perfect day.
Most couples have no idea how much work is needed to coordinate a wedding until the process begins, and the realisation of the work involved can often be quite daunting. Working with a planner to combine your ideas and create realistic solutions for your day can really relieve a huge stressful element and enable you to feel reassured and confident, relaxed and excited about the planning of your day.
Our planning service combines our experience & skills, our wealth of knowledge & links with industry specialists & suppliers to offer you the best in the business. We will listen to your thoughts and ideas, make recommendations and offer you solutions to create the day you have envisaged.
Regardless of the service or services you require from us, our planners, chefs, event managers and team will work with you through each stage creating & delivering your vision.
Let’s talk a little about what each of our dedicated team will do for you…..
Planning…. Our wedding planning service can help with finding a venue, styling, entertainment, florists & cakes, photographers and much much more. We will present you with ideas & samples to immerse you fully in the creative process, and giving you a taster of the fantastic wedding suppliers we work with.
Chefs….Our chefs will take on board your ideas and requests and incorporate them into the design of your menus and dishes.
Our menus are bespoke to each client and our skilled chefs are experienced in delivering high quality, delicious dishes using seasonal and local produce wherever they can. We offer different styles of service, some more formal than others. A traditional 3 course wedding breakfast or a Bring me Food Feast at the table but before that, some mouth watering canapes to set the standard of what’s to come. During the design of your menu, you will be offered a tasting session with us at our kitchen. You will get to try our delicious canapes, sample some dishes and get a chance to see how your food will be presented at the table and how it will look on the plate.
Event Managers & Me….Our event managers are fully briefed and confident in every aspect of your wedding in the approach to your day. On contacting George Goes Out, It will be Me that will send you a super speedy response to your enquiry. We will then arrange a call, chat about your requirements and then you will be provided with a provisional bespoke quote which then we can discuss at a meeting, venue or tasting. This is my favourite part of the process, meeting clients for the first time and getting to understand their wishes and ideas for their big day. Further communication back and forth by email, facetime or in person then take place and before we know it, we are well into the planning process. I let all our clients know that I am here to help with any questions and queries from start to finish and all of the staff that will work with you from George Goes Out will do so with a smile on their faces and an attention to detail that goes above and beyond your expectations. So…. What are you waiting for?...
I look forward to meeting you one day.
Working with engaged couples on a daily basis means I know more than most how emotional and difficult these times are with people having to postpone and delay their wedding.
For many, a wedding is not just the day but the start of plans for the future and the first step in building a life together. Many exciting things to follow. So now it can seem that these things are all on hold. A time of not knowing, a time of limbo. The uncertainty we are all facing means that couples who were counting down the months and weeks are not only facing a few months delay but potentially putting plans on hold for a year which when planning and looking forward to your big day can seem like a very long time.
My advice to any couples with plans for a wedding this summer is to talk to your venues, talk to your chosen suppliers and without rushing to change too much, pencil in with them a potential new date in case you are forced to postpone. Your planner can liaise with all of your chosen suppliers to coordinate these discussions and if you are not working with a planner, reach out to your suppliers if they have not already approached you. As wedding industry specialists we are keen to help you secure potential new dates and help you feel confident and happy with a backup plan.
If you find yourself already in the situation where your 2020 wedding has been postponed and you are feeling disheartened, use this time to really focus on the day that you want, that you will have. Not in an obsessed Bridezilla kind of way, but with a holistic, careful & thoughtful mindset. Often once an engagement has taken place and a date set, the time flies with wedding shows, tastings, meetings and decision making. A whirlwind of Pintrest & pictures, suggestions & samples and before you know it, you are a couple of weeks away. Having the luxury of time in the build up to your big day can be a gift. A gift to enjoy and relax, to feel reassured and confident in the decisions you are making. The difficult times we are facing may have shifted your priorities, using this time can help you focus on what really is important to you both.
However difficult and upsetting the situation is right here and now, you still have control for your day, it will happen and it will be as wonderful and as perfect as you have already planned. This will pass and you can do this….. just a little later.
